Couldn't get help on the phone and stuck with $100 worth of junk. The rest of the trip was very long with nothing else for her to do. We bought this last year to make a very long move, hoping it would keep our daughter entertained. It lasted for the length of 2 movies and then died.
This is what I like best about it:-it comes with a carrying case-it comes with a car lighter plug so you can run it off the car battery-it comes with cords so you can attach it to any TV to play DVDs-it comes with 2 pair of foldable headphones-it also comes with a remote (which I've never used) and I think you can hang it on the back of a car seat (although we've never done this)-you can also play CDs on it (however, the quality isn't great)This is what I don't like about it:-the sound quality is just average-the battery life is only about 2 hours-hardly worth taking it on the airplaneTo conlcude, I feel this DVD player is a worth it if picture and sound quality aren't priority and if it is just for travelling with the kids. We purchased this portable DVD player for a two-month trip to Ecuador last summer. The convenience of it outweighs the negatives of average sound and short battery life. It comes with everything you'll need to travel or hook it up to any TV. I am completely happy with the product and feel it is a great value for the price. The deciding factor in choosing this DVD player over the others was everything you'll need to use it anywhere came included with it.
He watched Baby Einsteins and was a overall peacefull happy traveler. We even managed to hang the player on the back seat for my still rearfacing son and get it to work.
We have used it weekly for longer drives for a good six months and my son is excited everytime he gets in the car and sees it hanging. It is now on the front seat that my son is facing forward, and still working fine.
This product has paid for itself. I used a car adapter plug to plug the player into knowing the battery would probably not survie a 14 hour drive.
If you are looking for a high qualitly DVD player, this is probably not it, but for around a hundred bucks, totally worth it. We purchased it due to a move from Kentucky to Kansas, for my 9 month old.
We haven't used the battery pack or headphones, so unable to comment on those.
Great gift for Grandkids, they each have their own. The first item arrived damaged. The next one was fine.
It held a charge well and was easy to plug in the car. This dvd player worked great. We did buy noise blocking headphones but the headphones that it came with worked well also. The picture was good. We were able to drive for 13 hours in a row with three children thanks to this wonderful dvd player. My nine year old had no trouble working the player.
